Liverpool could re-sign one of their former players this summer, if reports in Spain are to be believed.
Right-back Antonio Barragan had a brief spell at Anfield in 2005 as a promising youngster, and in recent months has impressed in a more attacking role.

What's the latest?
Barragan has impressed while playing on the wing as well as in his natural role as a right back for Valencia in recent months. So much so that Fichajes.net claim Liverpool are thinking about bringing him back to Anfield this summer. The Spaniard has a contract until 2015 with Los Che.
Born in Galicia, Barragan spent time in Sevilla's academy, but it was at Liverpool that he would make his senior debut, joining the English side in 2005. Barragan made his bow for the Reds in a Champions League qualifier against CSKA Sofia on August 10, 2005.
Despite his early debut with the Reds, Barragan never played another senior game for Liverpool, and returned to Spain the summer of 2006, signing for Deportivo. At the Riazor, he worked with Joaquin Caparros, who had followed the youngster during his time as Sevilla manager. Barragan played 15 league games in his first season with Depor, scoring two goals.
A major injury derailed Barragan's second season with Depor, and in the end he negotiated the rescission of his contract in 2009. After joining Real Valladolid on a free contract that summer, he struggled to tie down a regular place, and was eventually sold to Valencia in 2011.
At Valencia it looked like Barragan would continue to play irregularly, but the arrival of Juan Antonio Pizzi at the Mestalla in late 2013 has changed the former Liverpool man's fortunes. Sometimes used in place of Joao Pereira at right-back, sometimes as a winger, or even as an emergency midfielder, he is impressing with both his versatility and quality.
Though Barragan has never played for Spain's senior side, he appeared regularly for them at youth level. The highlight was winning the U19 European Championship in 2006, with the defender starting the final against Scotland.
"Liverpool are watching Barragan's evolution closely, and could make an offer this summer. Liverpool seem keen to re-sign him, though it's difficult to see Valencia letting him go, as Pizzi has faith in him." Fichajes.net on Barragan.
