Verona admit they are unsure if Liverpool target Juan Manuel Iturbe will be at the club next season, despite the fact they will sign him permanently from Porto this summer.

Iturbe is currently dazzling on loan at Verona, who have an agreement with his parent club Porto to sign him outright for a fee of £12m at the end of the season.

The forward, 20, has scored six goals and set up four more in Serie A this term and is also being watched by the likes of Monaco, Real Madrid and Inter Milan.

Liverpool, who will return to the Champions League for the first time since 2009, are keen to bring him to England.

Verona's director general Giovanni Gardini is aware of the mounting interest in the Argentinian and believes he could be moved on shortly after completing a permanent move to the Serie A team.

He told Italian TV channel Telenuovo: "If Iturbe will continue in Verona? I do not know. He is a great player who I admire a lot and I would like [him] to continue, but the big European clubs are not blind.

"First we will complete the deal and then we will see what will be best for everyone."
