Paris Saint-Germain defender Mamadou Sakho is edging closer to a move to AC Milan after he was left out of the French champions' match-day squad for their 2-1 win at Nantes on Sunday.
talkSPORT told you last week that the 23-year-old, who has been tracked by Liverpool during the past year, is now a firm target for AC Milan, who want to strengthen their squad if they clinch qualification for the Champions League.
Milan drew the first leg of their Champions League qualifier against PSV Eindhoven last week and are expected to make a formal offer for the Sakho if they beat the Dutch side on Wednesday.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is currently short of centre-backs following the news that Sebastian Coates will miss the majority of the season through injury and he could look to hijack Milan's move before the close of the transfer window next Monday.
