Liverpool  face a battle with Porto to clinch the signing of highly-rated Colombian forward Jackson Martinez.

Martinez is rated one of the hottest properties in South America and has been strongly linked with a move to Anfield.

Martinez has a prolific record for his club side Jaguares De Chiapas and they are ready to cash in on their star asset.

But reports in Portuguese newspaper Record claim Porto are also making advanced moves to sign the forward and they hope to finalise a deal to clinch his signature in the next few weeks.
