Liverpool have renewed their interest in Valencia striker Paco Alcacer, according to reports in Spain.

Brendan Rodgers is keen to add another attacking option to his squad at Anfield and has been alerted to the fact that Alcacer is yet to pen a new deal at the club.

According to Marca, the Mestalla side had planned to extend Alcacer's deal, which expires at the end of next season, but the striker is stalling.

The Reds have spoken to the Spanish international's representatives over his availability but will have to move quickly if they want to land the 21-year-old in January.

Tottenham and Italian giants AC Milan have also been linked and could bid for the in-form striker, who is rumoured to be worth a reported £20m.

Alcacer has scored eight goals in 16 appearances this term.
