Galatasaray have expressed interest in 19-year-old Hamburg HSV midfielder and Liverpool target Hakan Calhanoglu.
"Galatasaray assistant manager Tugay Kerimoglu called and informed me that they want me to join in January," Calhanoglu said.
The Lions have made it a priority to sign young Turkish players due to the strict foreign player regulations imposed by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF).
Turkish Super League clubs can have a maximum of 10 foreign players and no more than six can be selected in any 18-man match-day squad.
Calhanoglu has also attracted interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.
HSV sporting director Oliver Kreuzer confirmed that the Reds and Gunners are interested in the 19-year-old wonder-kid.
"Liverpool and Arsenal are interested. Hakan is not against prolonging his contract, but when Liverpool and Arsenal turn up - the lad might reconsider," Kreuzer told Bild.
The Turkish international recently told DHA that he is happy at HSV but aims to play in England or Spain in the future.
"My goal is to play at Hamburg and eventually join a club in England or Spain in the future," Calhanoglu said.
