Fernando Torres believes Liverpool are hitting top form ahead of a crucial week.
The Spaniard claimed a stunning hat-trick in Saturday's 6-1 thrashing of Hull City at Anfield.
It was the Reds' sixth successive win in all competitions and Torres is now the Premier League's top marksman with eight goals in seven league games.
Liverpool face a tough test away to Fiorentina in the Champions League tomorrow night before preparing for Sunday's crunch showdown at Chelsea.
"It's always amazing to score at Anfield and to score three made it a very special day," Torres said.
"I'm very happy but the most important thing was the victory. To score six goals against anyone isn't easy, so we must be very proud.
"After two defeats early this season we knew we needed to improve and as a team we are now in a good moment.
"The positive thing for me is that we have a lot of people scoring goals.
"The wingers, midfielders and strikers can all score. It's important for the team because it means the opponents are worried about Liverpool as a whole.
"We have a lot of confidence now ahead of two very important games.
"If we can win in Florence and make it six points from our first two Champions League games it will be very positive.
"After that we can focus on Chelsea. We have the confidence to go to Stamford Bridge and try to win.
"It's one of the most difficult grounds to go to, but we went there and won last season and we can do it again."
Torres claimed his fourth hat-trick for the Reds against the hapless Tigers and he now boasts 58 goals in 92 appearances for the club.
The striker has silenced the critics who recently claimed he looked jaded and Torres admits he is relishing being part of a more offensive side this season.
"With five goals in two games, it's been a great week for me," he said.
"I didn't have to play against Leeds in midweek and I feel rested now.
"I know the life of a striker is that if you aren't scoring, then people start criticising you.
"Last season was a long one, particularly for the Spanish players here because of the Confederations Cup. That made it difficult to start the new season with your best form but we are getting better now.
"I have to keep improving but I'm sure the manager is happy with me at the moment.
"I'm enjoying it this season because we're more attack-minded. We are playing more offensively at home. We're playing with two strikers and scoring more goals.
"We are now winning games against teams we would have drawn against last season.
"We were losing a lot of points against those teams at home, but we are winning those games now and we have to show the same against Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal. If we can beat those teams we'll be at the top."
Meanwhile, Liverpool have been drawn away to Arsenal in the fourth round of the Carling Cup.
Everton will also go to north London after being drawn away to Tottenham while Manchester United are to be reunited with former striker Mark Robins when they visit Barnsley.
There are three other all Premier League meetings, with Chelsea hosting Bolton, Aston Villa visiting Sunderland, and Portsmouth entertaining Stoke.
Peterborough travel to Blackburn and Scunthorpe head to Eastlands to face Manchester City.
The ties will be played in the week commencing October 26.
