Liverpool have joined Everton and Swansea in the race to sign Cliftonville's teenage striker Rory Donnelly.
Cliftonville chairman Gerard Lawlor has revealed that he received a phone call from Anfield boss Kenny Dalglish informing him of the Merseysiders' interest in the Reds' top scorer.
Swansea have had their bid for the 19-year-old accepted but there are likely to be further bids for Donnelly in the next week or so as his agent tours several Premier League clubs to hold talks.
"It's not every day you get Kenny Dalglish ringing you and asking how the Reds got on at the weekend," Lawlor told the Belfast Telegraph.
"He made it clear that Liverpool want to sign him and that they would be back in touch."
