Since arriving at Liverpool during the 2005-06 campaign, Chris has progressed through the ranks from reserve-team physiotherapist to his current role as head of physiotherapy.
He says: "I've been very lucky to develop at the club by rotating through a number of roles; at various times I've been reserve team, injury prevention, rehabilitation and senior physiotherapist before finally becoming Head of Physiotherapy - a position I am very proud of.
"I've worked in professional football for over 15 years now and I am always looking at ways to develop and improve the medical service we offer to achieve the ultimate goal of maximum player availability and performance.
"My job is to manage the physiotherapy department to rehabilitate players with long-term injuries as quickly as possible while maintaining player availability in those with on-going chronic issues or niggles."
Prior to his move to Liverpool, Chris graduated from the University of Bradford in 2000 and worked in the NHS and Private Practice alongside work in the Academies of both Manchester City and Leeds United.
In recent years he has continued his professional development with a Masters degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Liverpool.
He added: "Working at a club the size of Liverpool gives us unique opportunities to experience incredible moments as part of our working life and as a group of staff we appreciate that every day."
