David arrived at Melwood in July 2011 as part of the club's link with Liverpool John Moores University.
His role focuses on the strength and rehabilitation of the players, meaning he works closely alongside Jordan Milson.
"My role is quite varied but predominantly gym based," he says.
"It includes helping to write specific player programmes and I take quite a lot of the responsibility for quantifying the amount of work they take on.
"With regards to the rehab, Jordan takes care of things out on the pitch but anything earlier than that, such as work in the pool or on the bike, I will assist with.
"I love it here. All of the players are great lads and really good to get on with."
David achieved a degree in sports science at the University of Exeter before enjoying a year-long internship in the USA at the University of the Pacific.
He then assumed a role at John Moores University and the institute of sport as part of the fast-track practitioner programme.
"I spent three years at John Moores and was sub-contracted to work with various teams including the Everton Tigers basketball team, Widnes Vikings in Rugby League as well as the English Institute of Sport.
"I now work full time here at Liverpool and study for my PhD alongside it."
