Liverpool earned a point from Ewood Park but it so easily could have been three after a stunning header from John Arne Riise made it 2-1. However, Blackburn substitute Grabbi grabbed a late equaliser for Graeme Souness' side.
David Dunn opens the scoring for Blackburn after great play down the left from Damien Duff. His cross is dummied by Andy Cole and Dunn steadies himself before shooting low past Jerzy Dudek.
Danny Murphy scores the equaliser for Liverpool. Murphy's superb pass finds Abel Xavier down the right, and from his low cross the Reds midfielder fires an unstoppable shot beyond the reach of Brad Friedel.
Substitute Ciccio Grabbi grabs the equaliser for Blackburn a minute after coming on as a substitute. Duff's cross isn't cleared and Dunn plays in a pinpoint cross from the right and Grabbi, unmarked, heads past Jerzy Dudek.
