Milan Jovanovic ended his one-year spell with Liverpool when he signed for Belgian outlet RSC Anderlecht in August 2011.
He was originally snapped up on a Bosman free in the summer of 2010.
The left-sided forward was sniffed out by Rafael Benitez but arrived at Melwood with Roy Hodgson at the helm.
The Serbian already had a decade of senior football under his belt having broken through at FK Vojvodina during the 1999-2000 campaign.
Spells at Shakhtar Donetsk and Lokomotiv Moscow followed before Belgian giants Standard Liege came calling in 2006.
During the next four years he would scored 69 goals in 146 appearances - enough to earn him a first international cap against Finland in 2007, Belgian Footballer of the Year in 2008 and the Golden Shoe in 2009.
With his four-year contract up, the versatile playmaker agreed a deal with Liverpool - but his undoubted ability was never really witnessed at Anfield.
Jovanovic made his competitive debut on July 29, 2010 in a Europa League qualifier against Rabotnicki, and went on to make 18 appearances in a red shirt, netting two goals.
