The quest for the treble is coming to what seems to be a successful climax; two down, Alaves to go.
The scenes from Cardiff after 90 minutes brings back such special memories from the glory days - good old Houllier had a tear in his eye. Although I am only 17, I most certainly know of the glory days of past, but they do seem to be returning - COME ON YOU REDS!
For at least 80 minutes of the first FA Cup Final outside England, Liverpool did not seem as if they wanted to even play - they wanted to defend, or so it seemed.
Cue the entrance of Gary Mac and Partik Berger. Only the special talents of Michael Owen could save the campaign for the Reds - and it paid off, following the entrance of these two players. Following Ljungberg's opener, Arsenal seemed to fall asleep - cue Owen and two superb late goals.
Credit due to Westerveld (minus the scuffed kick) for a comfortable performance, and especially for Hyppia and his hat-trick of goal line clearances.
We did it - twice. Bring on Alaves in the UEFA Cup. Come on you Reds we can do it again.
YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE (up the podium to collct trophies - the whole of Anfield is behind you).
