As John McMahon's second-string prepare for tonight's trip to Burnley, we continue our series of reserve interviews with defender Robbie Threlfall.
The 21-year-old full-back is a product of the club's Academy system and featured in the side that won back-to-back Youth Cups in 2006 and 2007.
It was a case of villain turned hero in the latter final, as he followed up an own goal in the first leg against Manchester United with a strike that forced extra-time at Old Trafford. He then converted from the spot to help the Reds on their way to a shoot-out triumph.
His moment in the spotlight led to spells on loan at Hereford United and Stockport County before he returned to Melwood to become a regular in McMahon's team for the 2009-10 season.
Here he tells Liverpoolfc.tv about his admiration of Paolo Maldini, lifts the lid on his funniest teammate and explains why injuries are the most difficult part of football.
Which stadium would you love to play in?
The Nou Camp. I love watching Barcelona play and I'd love to play there one day.
Which team's results do you look out for?
Liverpool's. I also look out for the clubs I've been on loan with.
Career high so far?
Winning the Youth Cup - twice. To play in all those great stadiums at a young age was a great experience.
How is life under John McMahon?
He's brought in a fresh way of looking at things. We all work hard but we are also really enjoying it.
Career low?
Injuries. I've had two bad injuries during my time here and it's been tough coming back from them. Nothing's harder than having to watch the action from the sidelines because you've got a knock.
Who is the funniest reserve player?
Deano (Bouzanis) is always cracking a joke. I don't know if he's funny though. He comes out with ridiculous stuff at times!
Worst dresser?
It's a difficult one. Nicola Saric needs to stop wearing the same old black coat. Wherever we go he turns up in that same coat.
Best mate in the reserves?
I wouldn't say just one. All of the squad get along. We are a good unit.
What's it like being recognised?
Ha ha, it's rare that it happens. It hasn't been the case for a while.
Areas to improve on?
I'd say the tactical side of it. Things like positional sense because I'm a left-back. It's important to understand when to press and when not to press forward.
Your main attributes?
Passing and crossing.
Who is the best player in your position ever?
That's easy - Paolo Maldini. To do it at that level for such a long time is just fantastic.
Could you play anywhere else other than left-back?
Well I've played centre-back before, so I can do a job there. I'd also like to think I could slot into a defensive midfield role if required.
What was the first football shirt you owned?
I'm an Evertonian so that gives you your answer!
What's the best thing about being a Liverpool player?
I just feel proud to play for such a prestigious club. Everyone around the world knows who Liverpool are.
What are your hopes for the rest of the season?
I just want to keep trying to impress and I'm always looking to improve.
