Liverpool are on alert for the possible signing of Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Brazilian shot-stopper has impressed in Serie A in recent times and has been linked with the Reds before, though there is also suggestion of interest from the likes of Juventus and Napoli.

Neto seems keen to leave and embark upon a new challenge after four years with Fiorentina, and it is thought that he could try to force a move away from the club this January.

AS Roma have also been linked as suitors for Neto, though they are thought to be prioritising a move for Chelsea's Petr Cech instead.
