ESPN: Javier Pastore in demand

Liverpool face a battle to secure Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore with talkSPORT claiming that Serie side Roma and French club Lyon are expected to do battle for the Argentina international.

Pastore has failed to shine for PSG this season, failing to find the back of the net in just 11 appearances for the reigning French champions.

And the one-time big-money signing's lacklustre performances have led to rumours that Liverpool could make a 17 million pound move for the 24-year-old.

But the Reds' pursuit could be scuppered from the continent with hints that a move back to Italy with Roma could be on the cards, while Lyon could fancy gaining from their rival's loss.
