Manchester City outcast Scott Sinclair has been heavily backed for a move to Liverpool this summer by a leading bookmaker after they slashed their odds.

West Brom were believed to be clear favourites for his signature with the club ready to hold face-to-face talks with the winger.

Moreover, Steve Clarke is keen to bring the unsettled City star on a season-long loan.

But Liverpool are now fancied to bring the former Swansea player to Anfield.

Bookmakers Bet Victor have slashed Sinclair's odds from a long shot of 66/1 to 5/4 to join the Reds.

Sinclair joined City from Swansea in a £6.2m deal last summer.
