LIVERPOOL and Arsenal are both interested in Hamburg's attacking midfield starlet Hakan Calhanoglu.
The 19-year-old Turkish international has been likened to current Arsenal star Mesut Ozil, both due to his Turkish heritage and his style of play.
According to reports in Germany both teams have had Calhanoglu watched in recent weeks but could face competition from Galatasaray for the youngster.
HSV general manager Oliver Kreuzer wants to keep Calhanoglu but admits that a good offer could force them to sell.
Kreuzer told Hamburger Abendblatt: "Of course, every player has a price.
"We do not have any interest in selling him. Hakan is keen on making himself a name in the Bundesliga."
Calhanoglu recently told Turkish media outlet DHA that he is happy at HSV but see his future in England or Spain.
He said: "My goal is to play at Hamburg and eventually join a club in England or Spain in the future."
Calhanoglu has played 14 times for Hamburg this season even though he shares a position with former Spurs star Rafael van der Vaart.
The prodigious youngster, who has won acclaim for his technique, vision and shooting ability, joined Hamburg from Karlsruher in 2012 having joined the club as a 15-year-old.
