Milan Jovanovic's agent has scotched reports claiming Liverpool have sealed a pre-contract agreement for the forward to move to Anfield this summer.
Liverpool are in desperate need of some support alongside Fernando Torres and, with the likes of Robbie Keane, Andriy Voronin and Ryan Babel all failing to meet expectations, Jovanovic appeared to be the next playmaker on Rafael Benitez's list.
Jovanovic, who currently plays for Standard Liege, was widely reported in Wednesday's papers to have cut a deal with Benitez by signing terms with Liverpool.
However, Jovanovic's agent, Zoran Stojadinovic, revealed on Thursday that no deal has yet been signed, with Spain a worrying option for Jovanovic as far as Liverpool are concerned.
"There are many possibilities," Stojadinovic told Superdeporte. "The situation will be resolved soon, but he has not signed for any club as yet.
"There is plenty of interest from Spain. But there are also a number of clubs from across Europe that remain keen."
