Liverpool have made enquiries about signing Lyon left-back Michel Bastos in the summer, according to French sources.
Liverpool interim boss Kenny Dalglish is reportedly set to be given the job on a permanent basis, and has apparently been offered more money for reinforcements after signing Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez in January.
And according to reports, he is willing to splash as mush as €17 million on the Brazilian.
Bastos is a fast and technical full back who delivers wonderful crosses from the left and boasts a rocket of a shot.
And his seven goals and five assists this season for Lyon are a testament to his attacking abilities.
