Liverpool are reportedly all but certain to sign Manchester City midfielder James Milner on a free transfer this summer.
Milner's future at the Etihad has been the source of much speculation, with several clubs monitoring his contract situation as it nears its June expiration date.
And although City have stepped up their efforts to keep hold of the England man by offering him a new contract, it appears that Anfield has become his destination of choice for next season.
According to the Mirror, Milner has decided to leave Manchester at the end of this campaign, and will make the switch to Liverpool as the Reds to look to replace Steven Gerrard.
Brendan Rodgers is thought to be keen to pair Milner with Jordan Henderson at the heart of his midfield, with the promise of a regular central role understood to be a key role in the 29-year-old's decision.
