Liverpool have reportedly turned down a new bid from Birmingham City for Dutch international Ryan Babel.
The Blues have long been linked with the 23-year-old forward and had a reported bid of around £9 million shunned by the Anfield club at the beginning of the transfer window.
Babel has made just one substitute appearance in January which came during Liverpool's FA Cup defeat to Reading and despite boss Rafael Benitez insisting that he still has a part to play with the Merseyside club, Babel is seemingly desperate for a way out with a World Cup on the horizon.
Skysports.com is now claiming that Birmingham have made another bid for the former Ajax star as Alex McLeish looks to bolster his attacking options, with a deal for Lens striker Aruna Dindane appearing to have hit the rocks.
