Highly-rated Hajduk Split youngster Tonci Mujan is reportedly a January transfer target for a number of Premier League clubs.
However, his father Nikola says the 18-year-old winger is determined to remain at the Croatian club for now.
The hot prospect is also understood to be attracting a host of top Serie A clubs, with Lazio, Napoli, Cagliari and Chievo all reported to be keeping a close eye on the player.
Mujan, a Croatia U18 international, was once the target of Liverpool according to Nikola, who says he expects his son to remain under the tutelage of head coach Igor Tudor for the time being.
He told daily newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija: "I must admit a number of clubs are interested in Tonci. Some years ago he got a call to come to Liverpool, but he stayed.
"Now there are more clubs from England who want him, and also from Italy.
"But for now he wants to stay at Hajduk and become an even better player. But then again we have to see what kind of plans his club has for him."
