Liverpool could reignite their interest in Lucas Moura as the Brazilian looks to bring a temporary halt to his spell at Paris Saint-Germain.
The 21-year-old Brazilian prodigy was being chased by a number of Premier League clubs last season, including Manchester United and Chelsea, but he opted for a mega-money move to the French league instead.
The attacking midfielder has started eight league matches and has shown glimpses of his mercurial talent, chipping in with three Ligue 1 goals.
PSG will not sell the forward but they might consider a loan in January, according to reports in Italy, as he wants to prove his worth to Brazil's manager Luiz Felipe Scolari ahead of the World Cup they host in the summer.
Inter Milan and AC Milan are also monitoring the situation but Moura's pace and direct-play might be more suited to the Premier League.
The Premier League's leading clubs are unlikely to move for Moura as he is ineligible to play Champions League football for anyone else this season, having played in PSG's successful group campaign already.
But that could aid Liverpool's attempts as they are not in the competition but they could force their way in to next year's tournament with the help of the former Sao Paulo man.
