Sporting Lisbon are considering making Liverpool target Diego Capel available for transfer in January, according to sources in Portugal.
Capel was linked heavily with several European sides, including Marseille and Liverpool, during the summer, but he ended up staying in the Portuguese capital.
Although he was sidelined for nearly a month between September and October, the Spanish winger has managed just three league starts, netting once.
The 25-year-old is one of the highest-earning players at Sporting and they are believed to be keen to get him off their wage bill when the transfer window re-opens in the New Year.
However, any side interested in luring him away from Lisbon must fork out at least £5.75m.
Capel, who started out at Sevilla, has been capped twice by Spain.
