Fiorentina are ready to do battle with a clutch of Premier League sides to land Ukraine international Yevhen Konoplyanka.

talkSPORT told you last month that a quintet of English clubs - Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham - have all monitored the Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk winger this year.

Benfica are also keen on him, but Fiorentina have emerged as the latest contender for the 24-year-old's signature.

Their sporting director Daniele Prade scouted him earlier this season while he was on international duty against France, while Konoplyanka impressed on Thursday night after scoring for Dnipro in their 2-1 Europa League defeat at Fiorentina.

The midfielder, capped 35 times, has scored nine goals at club level this season.
