Greek defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos made 49 appearances for Liverpool between 2009 and 2011.
He was signed from AEK Athens by Rafael Benitez at the start of the 2009-10 season, ending a search for defensive cover following the departure of Sami Hyypia.
Kyrgiakos acquired his first taste of British football when he joined Glasgow Rangers on loan in 2005.
His time in a red shirt began in a dramatic victory over Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium on August 29, 2009.
The 6ft 4 centre-back earned cult status on the Kop with a series of commanding performances – but as the Kenny Dalglish revolution got underway is was clear both parties would benefit from a separation of ways.
In August 2011, Liverpool confirmed the defender had joined Wolfsburg.
